AAS Grants
Providing concrete assistance to those undertaking arachnological research, sharing their findings, and hosting gatherins for the dissemination of information is a key way that the Society strive to further the science and awareness of research on arachnids.

To receive an award, applicants must be active AAS members when awardees are selected
Research Grants
The society has established several annual grants to fulfill its committment to enabling and empowering research into arachnological topics by its members. The Arachnological Research Fund supports student research projects. A fund honoring arachnologist Vincent Roth supports student members' research on taxonomy or systematics. The Herb Levi Fund supports the research activities of non-students with minimal institutional support.
Deadline for all research grants: February 15th each year.
Travel Grants
AAS provides travel support to enable student members, including those from Latin America, to attend the society's upcoming meeting and present the results of their research projects.
Deadline for student travel grants: May 1, 2026.
Grants for Annual Meeting Hosts
The Society provides financial assistance to hosts of annual meetings to help defray expenses associated the meeting events and activities.
